Jagüey Grande, a town in
Matanzas province, in the western part of Cuba, is an hour drive from Varadero.
Its main economic activity is the citrus crop, with four balers engaged in the
selection of fruit for export.
It is a land of great agricultural, livestock, and sugar cane surfaces, various and forest crops, and increase of fruits. In addition to that, here there is the famous San Francisco de Paula Hacienda, and a selection of restaurants, private run-family restaurants, Casas Particulares (Private Lodging Facilities) and a nature with a diverse variety of precious woods. It is close to the National Highway, where you have the opportunity to reach one of its stops to take a rest and enjoy your food, and then continue to other parts of the country.
